Roach God, Black Manse, Beecher's Bibles, and MONSTROUS!
Two new, highly-anticipated store arrivals AND a Kickstarter from our friends at Cloud Curio.
Happy Wednesday! Only two more sleeps until the Beecher’s Bibles Kickstarter launch!
Here’s an extra-special preview of what the Kickstarter page is going to look like on launch day!
Players in Beecher’s Bibles are Jayhawkers, Red Legs, Free-Staters; proud abolitionist militant guerilla bands in 1850s Kansas, clashing with the pro-slavery forces of border ruffians and bushwhackers. A "Beecher's Bible" was the name given to the breech-loading Sharps rifle that was supplied to and used by anti-slavery forces during the Bleeding Kansas period (1854–1860). The name was inspired by the words and deeds of abolitionist minister Henry Ward Beecher of the New England Emigrant Aid Society.
This is a 32-page black-and-white A5 zine with a rule set that will be familiar for those familiar with Mothership or other d100 games. Character creation is quick and easy, action resolution is simple, combat is tactical, fast-paced and lethal. The game itself is straightforward and easy to pick up and understand, but the framework has the depth for longer and more involved play.
Printing will be fulfilled by Mixam Canada. PDF backers will be provided a discounted POD printing code through DriveThruRPG once fulfillment has completed.

Reach of the Roach God
"In a world beneath the world, a god of vermin grows. The more he grows, the more he wants to grow. He will not be satisfied. He will not stay away. Already his feelers have brushed the surface. Already his children sleep in your bed. Who will stand against his coming? How can he be stopped?"
A system-neutral setting supplement, part of A Thousand Thousand Islands. Art by Munkao, text by Zedeck Siew, Layout by hrftype.

Black Manse
THE NEWEST CREATION FROM THE TWISTED MIND OF MICAH ANDERSON.
Enter the demesne of a hellish anti-paladin and uncover his plans for world domination. Steal dread tomes full of eldritch knowledge. Destroy a cult dedicated to burrowing through the worlds—or join them!
Written for Bastards. but easily adapted other, similar systems. Contains adult themes, gore, and horror.
THESE FOLKS SEEM TO LIKE IT
“A modern classic in the vein of such luminaries as Tegel Manor and Palace of the Vampire Queen, Black Manse takes the sprawling gothic manor concept and elevates it not through padded trivia or too-clever mechanisms but by that rarest and yet most humble of treasures—good writing and a palpable joy for the medium. 3000/10 bats in the belfry.” – Concordia Vetiver (that’s me)
“More than a look into the abyss—it is a march for your life through it. And one must have hope to survive this march.” – Max D.
MONSTROUS! Kickstarter is more than halfway there!
Create custom monsters that uniquely fit your world with MONSTROUS!
This monster book is filled with lavish art and robust system-agnostic tools to help you craft rich backstories that tie directly into the bad guys' motivations and actions. MONSTROUS focuses on narrative impact and is compatible with any fantasy roleplaying game, including D&D and Tales of the Valiant. Strike fear into the hearts of adventurers with your own MONSTROUS creations!
MONSTROUS is a system-agnostic tool for fantasy tabletop roleplaying games, the go-to reference for telling better stories through monsters. It brings fear, wonder, & mystery back into monsters while demystifying the process of writing them.
MONSTROUS is a beautiful art book, using lavish paintings, illustrations, prose, and poetry to inspire you to build and explore worlds populated by dark mythic monsters.
MONSTROUS champions the idea that different monsters should lead to different stories. A Dragon & a Lich can both be mastermind archvillains, but the differences between them should be deeper than the type of damage they deal, & they should lead to unique roleplay opportunities.
MONSTROUS empowers you to seize the creative reins, to craft monsters that uniquely fit your fantasy worlds and stories.
MONSTROUS began as a video series on the YouTube channel Map Crow! If you want to see the early creative directions the team is exploring for this project, check out the Building Better Monsters Playlist! The Map Crow channel is run by Kyle Latino, an artist and professor in Columbus, Ohio. His videos are approachable educational resources on art and game design.
